Tay Tien Sing is dedicated to celebrating and empowering educators through the Malaysia Teacher Prize, Malaysia’s representation of the Global Teacher Prize.

Tien Sing began his journey in education as a secondary school teacher, driven by a strong belief in its transformative power. During his time in the classroom, he secured RM10,000 in funding to provide devices and data for B40 students, upskilled 80 teachers through IT workshops, and boosted digital literacy for 87 librarians, with 30% expressing interest in learning coding. He also guided students through project management, earning accolades at the Accenture Student Leadership Camp.

Tien Sing earned a Master of Advanced Study (MASt) in Applied Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (International Baccalaureate) from Fairview University College.
